Welcome to the photo portion of my online portfolio. As I continue to add on to this site, each of these sections will have their own page to display a much larger array of my photography. Until then, here are a few examples of architecture, nature, and people photos. You can also find my photography on DFWPhoto.org.

How to Navigate: Clicking on the thumbnails will bring up the image viewer to display a larger version of the photograph. The image viewer will show you the photographs on top of this page. Click on the right hand side of the image to view the next one, or on the left hand side to view the previous one. You can click back on this page or the X on the bottom right hand corner to exit out of the viewer.

Clicking the "show/hide" text will show or hide each section of the page making it easier to navigate.

Architecture Photos

Last spring I traveled to Germany where I had the opportunity to photograph beautiful cathedrals and cityscapes. While I love to photograph classical architecture, namely churches and cathedrals, I find that the structures we pass every day are just a beautiful. I try to take advantage of natural lighting and framing elements when available.

Nature Photos

These days I only see the sky first thing in the morning on my way to work or last thing at night on my way home from school. If I have a moment in my daily rush to notice the beauty of a Texas sunset, I will stop to capture it on film. Light plays an important role in my photography. I prefer natural and soft lighting to studio lights and harsh flashes. I especially enjoy long exposure and night photography. I find a happy balance when I can combine architectural and natural elements together giving my photography some overlap.

People Photos

This section of my portfolio needs the most work. I have several wedding and engagement photos from over the years, but I do not consider myself a wedding photographer. I want to branch out into other types of people photography and look forward to the time I will have to do this after I graduate. I enjoy taking pictures of people and when I cannot find a model, I will turn the camera on myself. I prefer people in a natural setting and in natural lighting, but I am no stranger to studio photography as it was a requirement for my Associates of Arts degree. As soon as I can scan some of the studio images, I will add them to this small collection.
